Responsibilities: This position supports business activity at the Scotford Manufacturing (Downstream), located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta that comprises both Refinery and Chemical units. The combined NSP for the site is 39.1 with an equivalent capacity of 1591 thousand barrels on the refining side. The site employs roughly 430 Shell employees. This position is accountable for the overall development and delivery of maintenance and reliability procurement strategies to maximize the value of spend on a life cycle basis and end-to-end implementation. The responsibilities are: Interface with Peers in the Americas cluster, Regional Procurement Managers, Category Managers to align strategies, maximize business opportunities and ensure shared learning, across North America Co-ordinate the end-to-end CMCP(Category Management and Contracting Process) from determination of business needs through contract management Obtain active support on key procurement goals and objectives via local stakeholder engagement Identify Maintenance business requirements and provide procurement support to meet these requirements Lead the development of contracting strategies including tender, negotiation and award and the post-award management and performance improvements of the resultant contracts Deliver value improvements to achieve site cost reduction targets Provide contract management for assigned contracts Ensure compliance with established strategies, contracts, policies,and procedures Manage relationships with key third party providers so as to meet business challenges and identify improvement opportunities Develop new commercial ideas and opportunities to enable the business to meet current and prospective business challenges Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the supply market for the Maintenance category including; a strong understanding of the drivers of value and cost for principal providers in the market, strong knowledge of the risks in the market and how best to respond, and a clear view of the ways in which we can most beneficially shape the market Interface and collaborate across operations and projects to consolidate opportunities to leverage third party spend Maintain full understanding of CP (Contracting and Procurement) policies and procedures, Tender Board processes, and related processes and procedures Develop Tender Board submittals for local strategies Prioritize demanding workload Develop effective plan for meeting required deadlines Leading edge management of sophisticated contracts Value delivery in an environment with continuous pressure to reduce costs Requirements: Supply Chain Management college degree or Bachelor of Commerce degree coupled with work experience, but will consider years of experience in directly related field Experience in developing/executing services and material contracts Evidence of Enterprise first values and behaviours Well organized and able to manage competing priorities Able to develop and present sound business cases to senior leadership in support of planned strategies Great teamwork, results delivery, and communications skills. 3-5 years of related experience.
