General Accountability: Reporting to the Manager, Sales, The Server and Storage Specialist is responsible for generating new sales opportunities within the Commercial and Industrial sectors. The Server and Storage Specialist will help The Client Managers develop solid business relationships through proficient call handling, effective communication, probing, negotiating and closing. The primary focus is on account growth and development within the assigned sector. The candidate is expected to develop a specified customer base and prospect incremental business utilizing outbound calls to attain growth objectives and increase customer breadth. This role will be measured on the ability to meet monthly productivity goals and must achieve balanced performance of product and service sales as stipulated within goal sheets. Specific Accountabilities: 1.Respond to Client calls and emails regarding quote and/or product information. 2.Respond to and follow up on all customer concerns and inquiries including: a.ETA's extended deliveries, missed shipments, Service Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs), discontinued products, miscommunications, pricing errors, etc. 3.Respond to internal and external inquiries and issues including concerns and miss-orders. 4.Provide backup coverage to other members of the Sales team when required. 5.Coordinate and manage Evaluation Units (EVAL) for Clients. 6.Manage Client specific hardware inventory as required 7.Understand and follow Client's pricing model and SLA contract for delivery times 8.Produce periodic billing reports as required. 9.Manage manufacturer's special pricing documents. 10.Track rush orders from beginning to end. 11.Maintenance and Research of Client Standards: responsible for establishing, maintaining and updating client hardware standards as related to Servers and storage. This includes, but is not limited to, making standards recommendations to clients based on research and manufacturer input, securing, processing and arranging for testing and certification of new products. 12.Maintenance of Pricing Agreements and Contracts: responsible for maintaining all pricing agreements related to Servers and storage, and contracts between Acrodex clients and manufacturers. Examples of this would be HP Special Pricing Frameworks, HP support contract renewals 13.Attendance of meetings: responsible for attending meetings in cases where the Account Executive deems attendance to be of value or where the Executive feels it is a better fit to attend in their place. 14.Customer Presentations - responsible for setting up and delivering, customer presentations. These would include, but are not limited to, bi-annual technology reviews and road mapping sessions with the client and involved manufacturers, presentations of new and emerging technologies to interested clients and specific solution presentations to involved parties both in house and on client sites. 15.Organization of Meetings: responsible for organizing meetings, both internal and with clients, either in the absence of the Account Executive or at the request of the Account Executive. 16.Client Relationship Management: responsible for maintenance and management of existing relationships within the client base as well as establishing good working relationships with any individuals that are associated to projects within the client base. These individuals could be manufacturers, outsourced Project Managers, and client representatives not typically associated to IT projects. 17.Attend manufacturer training when available and complete and testing required for certification. 18.Coordinate client visits to manufacturer training facilities and events. 19.Setting up and coordinating proof of concepts on client sites for new and emerging technologies relating to server and storage infrastructure. 20.Set up and coordinate training relating to Servers and storage for internal resources. 21.Assist and prepare request for proposal documents related to server and storage opportunities as required 22.Understands and demonstrates the willingness to promote Acrodex's vision and values Qualifications (Education/Experience/Skills and Abilities) 1.Post secondary education or equivalent with 5 years selling experience with solution-based products and services 2.Experience and Knowledge specifically with Servers and Storage 3.Detailed knowledge across all multi-vendor product lines, as well as technical and professional services offerings. 4.Proven ability to deliver on aggressive individual sales quota and increase market share by acquiring net new customers. 5.Extensive Knowledge of IT industry, market place trends and key indicators. 6.Highly developed selling, communication, customer relations, negotiating and decision-making skills. 7.Ability to work in a fast paced environment. 8.Strong working knowledge of MS Office products.
